Sussex Housing & Care extends care home

Our housing association client, Sussex Housing & Care (SH&C), is forging ahead with plans to provide new care home facilities in Sussex.

Currently, SH&C is extending Oakwood Court care home in Haywards Heath.  This will double the existing facility to provide a total of 60 beds.

Askival has managed this project through its feasibility, planning and procurement stages.  Now, we are overseeing the construction programme being undertaken by Niblock Building Contractors which is progressing well following the successful delivery of the enabling works.

“We are delighted to help SH&C with their plans to provide new facilities at Oakwood Court for their residents.  We are pleased also to have managed the sale of their former care facility in Bexhill, Ardath House, and we look forward to working with them on future schemes.”

SH&C chief executive Tracy Evans said: “As a not-for-profit housing and care provider, improving our homes as well as providing additional affordable care home access is central to what we do. We are delighted to see our Oakwood Court development progressing; it’s been a partnership effort.”
