Across London and Essex, completed new homes are standing empty while councils continue to spend heavily on hotel accommodation. We’re currently aware of several schemes — including completed and near-completed developments in Leyton, Chadwell, and Coggeshall — that could house families immediately.

Each has been offered to local authorities but remains available. These are ready-made solutions to a problem that grows more expensive by the week.
