London Rebuilding Society appoints Askival to help with home improvements
December 6, 2022Residential development consultancy Askival has been appointed by London Rebuilding Society (LRS) to help manage and grow its programme of home improvements for the elderly.
LRS is a social enterprise which specialises in creating healthy homes for the elderly. By updating and repairing properties in need of attention, the society’s home improvement scheme boosts energy efficiency and creates a more suitable home for the needs of later life.
Askival has been appointed to assist with the overall management of the improvements programme and will assess each home on a case-by-case basis; seeing what is required, arranging surveys and managing contractors to carry out the works.
Askival chief executive Mike Nestor said: “This is a welcome opportunity for us to support an excellent enterprise. We will work closely with LRS and their homeowners to ensure that the home improvements programme continues to run efficiently and to a high standard. Initially, our aim is to grow the annual programme to around 50 homes within the next two years.” Neil McClenaghan, head of housing said: “We are proud of what we have achieved for homeowners over the years. With Askival’s help we look forward to expanding our programme. There has never been a better time to help more homeowners to have a cost-effective, warmer and more comfortable home.”
